"Short (week-long) romantic trip to Paris and we were lucky enough to find Shelter Oberkampf quite easily online and the booking process was quick and efficient, and our host was very helpful with the logistical arrangements. Excellent location in suburban Oberkampf with lots of brilliant coffee shops and wonderful restaurants literally down the stairs and out the door, all reached by slow and gentle walk on lovely Spring mornings. Located slightly out of the main tourist areas but these are close enough to walk, or there are two metro stops (Oberkampf and Parmentier) literally 5 minute walks from Rue Gambey. Its not The Hilton, but that was exactly the point. Shelter Oberkampf is affordable and accessible (bear in mind 4 flights of tight spiral stairs) and excellenly located. Next trip to Paris, this is definitely where we'll be asking if theres availability."

"The place didn't have elevator and we were on the 4th floor, so going up and down with a lot of luggage was challenging, but wasn't an issue otherwise. We were staying for a while, so the hand soap and the shampoo ran out, we had to use our own - again, not a big deal."

"Perfect location - everything you might want from a stay in Paris is right around the apartment. Cool bars, cafes, markets, bakeries, restaurants. Feels like a trendy place where locals live but that also welcomes tourists. 10 minute walk away from Canal Saint-Martin which was one of our favorite places to bring some snacks and drinks to. Super walkable to Le Marais also if you want to check that area out, but also great starting point to anywhere into the city because the metro is really close by. Apartment was a good size for two people, cozy and clean. We stayed in Le Marais, Belleville, and Oberkampf during our trip and they were all great, but this was our favorite."
